Breast Cancer Keffiyeh Ribbon Tee

$35.00

On January 8, 2020, I was officially in remission. After that, I wanted to create a cancer ribbon design that not only represented the colors of various cancers but also embodied our Palestinian heritage. We came up with the Keffiyeh ribbon 4 years ago. While looking through old files for our six-year anniversary, I found the design and knew it was time to release it for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

This design is meant to spark conversation, especially in our community, where people often stay silent about their disabilities, cancer battles, and vulnerabilities. It’s crucial that we become more vocal about these struggles. We don’t need to keep hiding them from each other by opening up, we can help one another. When I shared my cancer journey on the Palestinian Hustle page, many reached out, revealing how they had kept their battles private. That experience showed me how important it is to talk about these things.

We also hope this design sparks conversation with people outside of our community. When they ask about the ribbon, we can share the history of the Keffiyeh and remind them that there are people battling cancer in the middle of a genocide without access to the healthcare, treatments, hospitals, or medicine they need. Cancer patients in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria etc are being displaced miles from home, facing ethnic cleansing daily. It’s important for people to see the struggles of cancer patients and survivors around the world.

To everyone battling Cancer, the Palestinian Hustle community is praying for you, sending love and energy, and hoping for your full recovery. We’re always with you!
