To all my immigrants out there, tell us how much you love being an immigrant and where you and your family are from!

You all loved a quote from one of my recent videos so much that I decided to put it on a T-shirt.

The message is powerful and deeply relevant to what’s happening in the world today. Just remember, to truly understand someone, you have to see them first. And never forget that immigrants are the backbone of our communities. They make everything better. We bring culture, love, color, traditions, and authentic food. We add so much, and the world is richer because of us. #love #community #immigrants

The most powerful thing we can do for our loved on

The most powerful thing we can do for our loved ones especially our children is simply being present. Whether it’s a small event, a dance competition, a game, or a spelling bee, just showing up means everything to them.

I missed a lot of the little moments when Bella was growing up, and even some major dance competitions. I’d catch one of her sets, then have to rush to work. Four years ago, I made a promise to myself and to her: I will never miss anything again-big or small.

This year, as she stepped into her role as the Varsity basketball manager for her school, it became one of the most meaningful years for me. Basketball has always been one of my passions, and getting to share that love with her, teaching her the game, celebrating the wins, learning from the losses, and laughing through it all are moments I will cherish forever.

Beyond that, connecting with the team, encouraging them, and teaching them not just the game of basketball but the power of brotherhood & family has been truly special. I can never thank Bella and her team enough for this amazing season.

We’ve got more games to win, and a special video is coming soon. But for now, my advice to every parent: Your greatest superpower is being present for your child. Your presence is everything. And just for the record-it’s nice to know my Jerusalem School & Del La Salle three-pointer is still on point. #basketball #Love #parenthood

There’s so much misinformation on my feeds from people claiming that Christians are treated horribly by Muslims. The reality is that in Muslim communities, Christians & Muslims live side by side & are treated the same. The only groups attacking Christians in our region are organizations funded by the U.S. or its allies. Here’s a love story between a Christian & Muslim who lived most of their life in a Muslim society. this is one story out of thousands.
My great-grandfather, Seedo Yaseen Tayeh, left Palestine to seek work in Cuba. He made a living selling fabric door-to-door. One day, from a distance, he noticed a beautiful woman sitting on her veranda. That woman was my future great-grandmother, Siti Amparo Alvarez, who was visiting her sister from Spain. Seedo Yaseen couldn’t get her out of his mind. He returned to her neighborhood every day, hoping to catch her attention but she wasn’t interested. Despite her not being interested, he stayed persistent in visiting the neighborhood daily. When he built enough courage, he knocked on her door & asked for her hand in marriage. They lived in Cuba, during which they welcomed my grandfather, Seedo Yousef. Shortly after he turned one, they moved back to Palestine.
What I remember most about my great-grandmothers, one from Cuba & the other from Spain, was their endless love, joy & deep appreciation for Palestinian culture. They embraced it wholeheartedly & gracefully.
Siti Amparo, in particular, quickly adapted to life in Palestine, speaking like a native. She also held a deep love for both religions: Christianity, the faith she grew up with, and Islam, the faith of her husband. She devoted herself to both, praying in churches & mosques. When people say Muslims hate Christians or Muslims don’t allow Christians to live freely in their countries please tell them the story of my Great Grandmother, a Catholic Muslim who married my Muslim Grandfather, practiced both religions & the Christians & Muslims in Palestine all loved her & welcomed her. Remind them Christians, Muslims & Jews always lived in peace & harmony in Palestine.Propaganda/liesabout this love between three religions & cultures started in 1948 #love
