Grey Gaza Long Sleeve

Many of you have asked us to make this shirt in grey, and Mama has been asking me to make it in long sleeve. So, we've added a long sleeve grey shirt to the GAZA collection. Here’s a little history of our Gaza shirt. We held onto this design for a couple of years because we wanted to release it at the right time. We were set to release it in 2021, but we didn’t because of the heavy bombings, so we waited until 2022. We knew that we wanted to make a design dedicated to Gaza, but we wanted it to have the right message. Marcus, the creator of our epic Palestinian Hustle logo, wanted to create something with positive vibes, so he dedicated himself to learning more about Gaza. I also asked my friends living in Gaza what they would like to see on a design. With this in mind, and with Marcus's input, this is what we came up with.

The Mediterranean Sea provides food, employment, and leisure for the families of Gaza. Even though there are fishing restrictions that limit how far out in the sea the people of Gaza are allowed to go, the Mediterranean is nonetheless a symbol of the culture and lifestyle of Gaza. There is not one area of Palestine that is more beautiful than the other; rather, there are fascinating subtleties unique to each region, lending different expressions of the multidimensionality of Palestinian life and culture. We aspired to create a design that expresses life in Gaza in a beautiful way.

Something we learned in this process is that the people of Gaza want the world to know their lives are not always sad, doom, and gloom like the media or people portray it to be. There is joy, laughter, fun, and beauty. Since October, things have shifted, and we are learning how resilient our people truly are. We are learning how deeply connected they are to their faith and how inspiring they are. The original release of this design is our celebration of Gazans' way of life and their positivity despite living under military occupation. Now, this shirt is an ode to their resilience, strength, and love for their people, country, and faith. Gaza is always on our mind and in our hearts. Allah yehmekoum. Inshallah, this will end soon, and Palestine will be free.
